1 When you zoom in and see blurred areas especially were the light colors meet the dark ones.2 when you zoom in and can not see the persons skin.3 when you see an area of color that appears to be transperant and sort of floating on top the image.Only knowledge of photoshop can help you understand what to look for.But the problem is is that these are not things that can be checked out from a normal look at the photo they must be looked at when zoomed in on.There is a difference between pixelation and use of the blur tool to make work look smother than it is.If you can see work with your own eyes then do it.This topic is not aimed at any artist on this site it is a genralized topic to make people aware that this is something that is happening .

You are right Murph...I see it all the time...some of those great smmothly done tattoos have ben photoshopped...its bullshit!
