pirate's tattoo

in my school for the summer assignment, i have to write a letter to the article about anti-tattoo in the voice of the pirate. what do u guys think tattoo symbolizes to pirates? and why do u guys think that pirate like to get tattoo even though many people say that getting a tattoo is a bad thing to do cuz u will never can erase it once u get it? and what would make pirate support sporting a tattoo? im really glad if u guys respond to me..... thank you
