price for half sleeve tattoo

I was curious to know how much it would be approximatley to get a half sleeve tattoo starting from the top of my arm to my elbow?

Phew, thats a very vague question. The smart ass answer is "how much does a months groceries cost?". It varies depending on the tattoo design, the artist, the location, etc. Its nearly impossible to price out a sleeve tattoo over the internet or phone. Your talking a bunch of sessions at a coupla hundreds bucks a session. How many sessions and how long is very variable. What type of tattoo are you looking for? What are some of the best places in LA to get a really good tattoo? I just moved here from the mid-west so i dont know where to go here in LA for a good tattoo. thanks

I'm in Austin, Texas and the going rate around here is around $100-$130 hr. at most shops. Unless your wanting work from someone who's world famous, like Chris Trevino or something, then expect to pay more. The amount of time it takes will vary from artist to artist. Shop around, don't just go for the cheapest price...unless the cheapest price is the artist you want,I guess.
