I am a 38 year old woman & have wanted a tattoo for many
years. Many people have beautiful artwork as a tattoo.
So now that I have been thinking about it for 10 years,
I am sure that I do want a tattoo and I know what I want.
My questions are about how the artist will feel about my request.
I have been reading the posts by artists on this board. I also
read all of the additional info about being a first timer, make
sure the you want the tattoo, be prepared to take care of it,
let the artist help you with your design. I agree with everything.
We are going to Virginia Beach VA next month on vacation.
We will be there for only a day or 2 on our way South.
I guess I am just wondering how you all feel about a last
minute appointment or walk in who has some old artwork
of an Angel that she wants you to incorporate into a tattoo.
The Tattoo would be on the top of my wrist/ hand & would need
to be designed by the persoon who does the tattoo.
Please advise, as I am not sure what the proceedure is.
Thanks

Well young lady if its a busy shop and ya go in without an appointment be prepared to be turned down.Is there a reason you can't call ahead?...TAz
9 times out of 10, you'll get a better tattoo by making an appointment ahead of time so that the artist can put more thought into the piece. Definitely find the best shop you can in that area if you're sold on that area and contact them in advance. You'll also as mentioned by Taz reduce your chances of getting turned away because they're booked for the day. Proper Planning makes for a better experience whether its a tattoo, or anything important for that matter.
I would contact Gabriel Cece and if he is booked he can point you in the right direction. If you have waited this long and learned so much, definitely get an appointment with a great artist, you could get lucky wlaking in, but you dont want anything to go to chance...
