Raised Tat

I am slightly panicking. I only have one tattoo at the moment. I got it done 2 years ago and it's on my upper thigh, near my hip. I've taken care of it and it looks great. I was putting lotion on earlier and I noticed part of it is slightly raised up like a mosquito bite. It hasn't been itching and I haven't noticed it before, so I have no idea how long it's been there, but it definitely wasn't there the last time I checked. All posts I've read on the internet have been from people who've had their ink for a few days or so. I've had mine for 2 years! Does anyone know what's happening?
It's probably just contact dermatitis, or a pimple. Contact dermatitis can occur when a scar (a tattoo is essentially a colored scar) is rubbed by an irritating fabric or a harsh chemical. Do any of those things apply to you? If not, you may consider making an appointment with a dermatologist if it doesn't clear up in 7-10 days.
i cant say for sure, too much is unknown about it, and im not a doctor. Most likely, its fine. Many people for many reasons will occasaionaly have thier tattoo become"raised" and possibly slightly itchy. Like a welt almost. Keep an eye on it, see if it goes away or gets worse, go back to the tattoo artist and let them look if your that worried. If it gets worse, ask a doctor. But most likely, it was something like the lotion you used, or perhaps sun exposure ealier that day, a new fabric softener or detergent, ect. Could be alot of things, usually harmless and temporary. Just use common sense.
