RE: Tattoo Infection

I just got a tattoo going down my ribs about a week ago. Its red, swollen, painful and it's preventing me from sneezing (which sucks cuz I'm getting sick). I mean, I understand the ribs are supposed to be a very painful place to get tattooed, but is it supposed to hurt for this long and not start the healing process? My last tattoo was sort-of on my ribs and it was onto the healing process within the week, so I'm just a little confused as to what's going on. Help would be appreciated, and I can send a picture if you need one. -xMoe
