Redness?

I am just wondering how long it is normal for the area around the tattoo or at the edges of the design for it to be red. I would call that studio but they don't open for awhile. I just got it done yesterday and it is still red and kinda sensitive but my hubby (who also got one done yesterday, same thing exactly that I got) doesn't have any of this so of course I am worrying. Thanks!
