Rick Saverias tattoo machines

I recently perchaced one of rick saverias tattoo machines a # 4 set up as a liner and it spits and spudders I've tried to re tune and it still has the same problem . Does anybody happen to know what the problem might be caused by? Any help will be appriciated, Thanks Catfish53...

it sounds to me that maybe the contact screw on the spring might not be conducting well? have you tried adjusting the spring at any point? hope this helps

Wow noz, another bit of helpful information you have provided. You know, it is arrogant pricks like you that make me sick. You should do the world a huge favor and kill your fucking self! With that said... There can be numerous things that make the machine flutter/sputter. I would recommend taking the machine apart. Make sure the springs and armature bar is straight. Check to see if the capacitor matches the set up you are using. You said this is a liner, so you would want it to be a basic 22uf for a dime gap liner, or a 33uf for a long stroke liner. This is just a basic configuration. If the capacitors match the set up you are going for, then move onto the next step. Actually man....this will take way to long to type out.
