Shaving tat

Any tips for shaving a tattoo? like should i be using a specific gel or lotion? any other tips for keeping it look new(i have hairy arms?) thanks

As much as it sucks, I wouldn't shave until it's healed. Just tough it out. Once it's healed just treat it as normal./

it is healed. i got it back in june. By treat it has normal do you mean shave like normal or don't shave?

Oh oh oh, I gotcha. I prefer when tattooed areas are shaved. Like when guys have amazing sleeves I'm always bummed out when they're covered by a forest of dark brown hairs. Just shave like you would any part. And keep sun exposure to a minimum. Also keep your skin moisturized!!

I recently got a big piece on my outer calf. Generally, how long is good to wait to shave over the area?

I'd wait til its fully healed which is generally a good 2-3 weeks. You can pretty much tell when it's ok. Once you're done healing and the skin doesn't feel like leather anymore.
