Should we be welcoming or thinning the crowd

Ok, the flavor of the forum has gotten pretty nasty over the last week. Im all for thinning the herd... doing our part to insure that only talented artists are permently marking peoples skin is kinda part of the job. Personally, I think that educating the public (which is pretty dumb thanks to the starving of the education system/consumer culture programming) is the key, and that will happen easier if we snap a little less. On the other hand, you need to have a thick skin to get into this business, and if someone is really tattooing poor work on the public they deserve the jabs. Im going to put together a comprehensive article about how to get into the tattoo business in an ethical way kinda along the lines of the how to get the perfect tattoo article. Artists are encouraged to post their thoughts here or email me directly. this way, we can answer peoples questions before they even ask and we can save a lot of them the headache of asking stupid questions. Sometimes I feel a little bad for the poor young lambs wandering into a pit of lions...
