when you get a skull tattood should it face a sertain direction?
Usually the same direction as your face. If its in your side, it shouldnt be looking at your back etc.
I disagree...now a days people are bending that looking forward rule all the time. I have a big skull on my side and it faces towards me back. I do have to mention that I have a bunch of skulls on me and having them all face the same way would be rather redundant.
put it facing forward, having numerous skulls in the first place is rather redundant.
WHAT! you can never have enough skulls. Come on man its art...there are no rules. Do whatever looks good on your body. I feel that if it contours to your shape and it looks good, go with it. Put it in a joint. I know that a bunch of artists for a long time wouldn't do high detail in joints. That little rule came and went. Most of the current ground breaking artists are throwing all of the tattoo taboo out the window. The "face the center of your body" stuff is crap. Look at Kore Flatmo and Paul Booth's work, the two best skull/skeleton guys in the business right now. Hell Booth's skulls face up, down, left, right, in, out. Kore even has a book out call the 18 angles of the human skull. Point is you can make it face any way you want based on the flash he provides in his book. Even if you have one skull and not many you can make the thing face anyway you want to and don't let anyone tell you other wise.
