sleeves

Just a quick stupid question about paying for sleeves...i just want to know what the general consesus is because i know everyone differs and there's all sorts of situations that can arise blah blah blah. Do artists typically demand payment before starting the sleeve or do they just ask for payment for what they've completed that particular day?

Usually, you'll be required to pay a non-refundable deposit after you speak with the artist, but before he/she even begins sketching out the piece on paper. Once you ok the design, that deposit will usually go towards the final cost of the sleeve. Then, you'll pay upfront every time you go in for a sitting (this price will be negotiated before hand) until the sleeve is completed.

yeah i knew about the non-refundable deposit deal because i have alot of tattoos that only required one sitting but dont have any that would warrant 2 or more. Thanks for the info tho. i appreciate it.
