Small lettering tat on ring finger

My fiance & I are getting married soon. He is a mechanic, and will be unable to wear his wedding ring the majority of the time due to safety reasons. He wants to get my name tattooed on his ring finger. I have heard rumors that some artists refuse to tattoo from the wrist down, is this true? I know it must be hard to tattoo such small lettering, although I've seen it done. I think Jenna Jameson's ex husband has Jenna on his ring finger in fact. My name is Lauren, so just one letter longer. Any ideas if this idea will work? Lastly, I live in Fort Worth Texas (near Dallas) and I am wondering if anyone knows of someone in the area who specializes in small letering such as this? Any help is much appreciated.
