Some professionals need to Stop Tattooing!!!

What's up hatters, some of yhall tattoo artists who are professionals, need to stop! Half of yhall cant draw, and for the one's that can, can't tattoo. Tattooing is not that hard, if your truly ment to do it, now some people do need to listen to what people on here are saying. Cause you can turn into the people that this industry allready has alot of, people who wasn't ment to be in this business. (But they have a bf that will teach them knowing they cant draw.) Yhall know that there are limited tattoo businesses where ever you go, so the less competition, tha more money they can make, and hey that's why we all do it, money!!! So if i can say any thing stop hatting on people and incourage them, and show them how to keep things clean while they are just starting out, Cause they are going to do it anyway. Hell the best tattoo artist start out in prision any way. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING TO REMEMBER, FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE STARTING OUT, KEEP EVERY THING YOU USE, TOUCH, ETC..... CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN, AND STERILIZED!!!!!
So I have a few objections. Im assuming you know what your talking about right?? So when you say we all just need to quit hatting and tell them how to tattoo and the sterilization process etc.. and yet you didn't seem to know much more than keep it clean, clean, clean. Its so funny how all of you keep saying how we dont know shit and yet you still try and get answers. The sad part is 90% of the time you get the greatest advice anyone can give you and its not what you want to hear. Also the statement that the best tattoo artist come out of prison is retarted. Find a tattoo artist out there who is straight out of prison and compare them to lets say Nikko Hurtado. He never went to prison and has only been tattooing for about 6 years now and in my opinion is probably one of the greatest artist out there. If you dont know what the fuck your talking about dont go telling people your bullshit and get them down the wrong road.

Yeah! It's yhall dang o hatters.I met a guy at the Jacksonville convention that said he was a tattoo needle gun maker.I told him I already had one.Yeah,I know this is not related but this post made me think of that guy for some reason.Cross
What is a "Hatter"? Someone with a lot of hats? English, it's hard.
I am always striving to be a better artist, but who knew all I really needed is a stay at my local prison to become the best tattoo artist I can be.
lol I love this stuff.
I must admit that I have seen some of the best original art works in prison. I have known some great tattoo artist in there too and I think with the right machines & apprenticeship they would produce some great work. Yes, I did say "apprentice". In prison we tatt with a motor from a walkman (rotory machine) with 9v batteries as a power supply. We use guitar strings for needles. No more than one needle at a time and thats where one gets the peppered affect. Although I have seen some good tattoos, I dont believe I have seen any solid tattoos produce in prison. Always peppered. I am by far to be considered a professionl but I have tatted for about 10yrs in prison and learned alot. And in that process of learning, I have scarred lots of friends. I later fixed alot of my previous tatt "for those who was still there" but never the less I caused alot of unnessary pain & work. If I was apprenticed the outcome would have been soooo much better with less work and pain caused. Oh, and I would have never tatted on anyone without the propper ink or machine with what I know now.
Inre: Yes, I do believe just cause you own a shop and you have gone through the apprenticeship doesn't mean you are a good tattoo artist. Art is just not in some peoples veins as well as tattooing. I personally believe that tattooing is a skill that in time and with good apprenticeship anyone can learn to trace, even shade if they have a steady hand. As far as art and creativity, I believe its something your born with not something you can develope in time. But again, wut do I know... Im still learninng everyday how to tatt :). Does anyone need a shop bitch in the Bay Area?
I have to say this post is quite amusing. But theres something Ive got to say... Granted not ALL good tattoo artists are from prison.. But A LOT of good ARTISTS (Not just tattoo artists) have spent time in the pen! Im not the only one that thinks so.. I bought a tattoo flash book and there was A TON of prison flash art.. Hell.. They have nothing better to do with their time.. And.. NOT ALL PRISON TATTOOS are peppered.. (Sometimes it depends on what batteries your using.. Its basically like the voltage coming from a power supply..) But as I was saying.. I personally know someone who has gotten over half of their tattoos in prison.. NONE OF IT IS PEPPERED! And in my opinon it looks better than the tattoos they have gotten out here! - Spent 2 years in Criminal Justice classes studying PRISON! and Ive been a tattoo artist for 2 years. My first couple of months was spent using what people would like to call a "prison gun". And my first tattoo was done by someone who just got out of the pen and using a "prison gun" or "fake tattoo machine".. The sahding isnt quite up to par.. But its NOT PEPPERED!!

Is this guy seriously for real, or just trying to stir the proverbial $hit pot? With the ignorance of some of his statements, I believe the hatter, I mean latter! =D
