Swollen Ankle

It is now Friday evening, I got a tattoo on my ankle as a coverup of a small tattoo on Tuesday afternoon. My boyfriend has been a professional tattoo artist for the past 10 years. This is not my first tattoo, and I have never had problems with tattoos before. For the past 3 days my ankle has been really swollen and itchy, last night the swelling went down into my foot as well as around my ankle. I am treating this tattoo as I have always done my others, it is not red, except for around the major swollen parts of my foot, and it does not hurt. After I wash it, it leaks clear liquid, sometimes with a little yellowish tint. The tattoo itself is raised a little bit but nothing major, I am extremely itchy where it is swollen and Advil did not help the swelling. My boyfriend does not think there is an infection, but hes not sure why it is acting the way it is. Any artists out there have an opinion?

If your tattoo artist/ boyfriend doesn't know what it is then i would go to the doc no one online is going to be able to (nor should they) provide you with a diagnosis without seeing the ankle
