ive tried out several types of tapered needles. i have heard that straight milled needles are more efficient at putting in ink. anyone have any insight on this suject?
tapered needles vs. straight milled needles

Surface area, tapered needles have less so the amount of ink forced into the skin is less, however the taper does allow them to penetrate easier with less trauma to the skin.
I pretty much always tattooed with the type of needle I had available but I'm inlove with bugpins #8 for 9-11-13 mags and #12 curve mags. for 9 and 15 mags.
Bugpins offer less trauma to the skin (smaller holes)
Mithra has some killer products.
