I agree. Again, I think the key is this. People who don't understand something usually are frightened by it. It's usuallly more fear than disgust. I am like the nicest guy in the universe, and frankly, I think our actions say more about us as people than our looks. I've had a lot of luck helping people that I meet understand that tats are not scary, and in general, neither are the people that wear them... just different. Open minded people usually plug right in to that. That said, I've got about a half sleeve, and I have to admit that I do take a certain amount of pleasure in the fact that the average soccer mom I run into gets completely mentally fucked up around me because they just don't know what to do with me. I'm Mr. Tattoo guy, and I'm on all the little activities and boards at my 6 year old twin's school. They usually say EEK! when they see me. Makes me smile to think about it.

heh, that's pretty funny. I'm mostly done with my right sleeve and am progressing through the left sleeve now and I have to say, the best is when you interview for a job wearing long sleeves and then you show up for the first day in a t-shirt. hahha, that's always a lot of fun.

It is really sad to think how closed-minded a majority of the populace continues to be. And this goes far beyond the stereotypes of persons with tattoos... I won't go there, we have all had our history classes... Hopefully, in a utopian time line, those walls will be chipped at a little more until they give. I will say that thanks to shows like "Inked" and "Miami Ink" although they don't give the total picture, at least people who would never consider stepping into a tattoo studio can have a half-glimpse into what goes on in "our" world.... Only we have known for years that we don't need a nation wide audience and cameras in our shops to remind us that we are good people with hearts and do give a good God damn about others......J

Kryptik...try lookin like ME wearing my everyday blacks and then drive a HEARSE!!!...You should see the looks I get! Its even better when people see the hearse and pull off to the side of the road.!...Jwerk drove it for the first time the other day and I could hardly get him out of it!!! But it just ain't quite the same effect with him drivin! LOL!

Well ta, i used to own colors other then black, but my locker here just got too filled up w/ crap... so i got rid of the clothes i hardly ever wear and mailed them home... so now all i own are black clothes, except for a pair of jeans and khakis, and a couple of non-black tank tops, but really my wardrobe has gone quite black... so i know what you mean.... but you win, cuase of that hearse.... :)
