Tatto Breakout

I just resently got my first tat. A week later my arm was breaking out with what looks like pimples around the tat. It is finally starting to clear up but I am now noticing the breakout in the tat. Does anyone know what to do??? I was told by my tat artist to stop putting any type of ointment or cream on it and to leave it alone. It looks so dry. HELP!!

Listen to your artist. The breakouts are likely because of clogging the pores from putting too much ointment on the tattoo. Next time, just put a little bit on, if it's shiny, there is too much on.
