Tattoo Ideas.. Question

Hey Guys, I have some ideas of a full arm piece I want to get, but obviously I am not a tattoo artist.. So is this enough to give to a artist to come up with a Half Sleeve? I grew up in the inner city and well I was poorer then anything to I am looking at something to symbolize my life thus far.. and the rest of my arm is for the next half.. I have been into Punk music and Rockabily forever it seems so I would wantsomething to show that, something to show my struggle to become successfull and something to show how I have basically got all I worked for and more.. something to show the trials and tribulations of my life thus far drugs, crime, etc.. all part of being a bad kid on the streets before I woke up.. I would also like to have the Social Distortion Skeleton in there somewhere as well.. I know I would want color, but just not sure on what to have.. is this idea too abstract for a artist?
