Tattoo Idea?

Okay, so i know kind of an idea for my tattoo. I want like a dead tree that goes up my side and on the back of my shoulder blade. But i also want to get something for like in memory of my grandpa to go with it. I'm not sure how i could do that, but would anyone like to give me some kind of idea?

I would start with his hobbies, job and things that remind you of him to incorporate into/around the tree. For instance... if he flew kites with you as a child have one stuck in the tree. I would seek an artist's work you like and discuss it with them. When they get that "Royal Flush" poker face go with him/her.

You could always do something simple - Like his name, date of birth, and date of death to look like it's carved into the tree.
