Tattoo on the bottom of my foot

Hey everyone, I was wondering if it was possible to get a tattoo on the bottom of your foot, and approximately how long it would take to heal. And how much it may hurt.. but i'm willing to withstand the pain.

All the guys who tattoo say that the cells on the bottom of the feet shed too quickly for a tattoo to take and it's not worth the effort or pain.. Correct me if I'm wrong someone.. Craig
