i got a tattoo on my right forearm a week ago today. it started out as a bad situation in my eyes. i went with a different artist, an artist who is renound for having the most experience at my tat shop.
well the first night, it was very thick and wrinkled. of course i began to think the worst. well it just so happens, that everytime the tattoo came in contact with water the past week, more and more would fall off. and i dont mean the normal tattoo peeling, but rather wet irritated chunks would just come off. now officially a week later, there are some parts of the tattoo that look fine. VERY FEW. however the rest of it, is a scab. a scab that looks like i have fallen and cut my arm open. now, i realize that a tattoo is indeed a wound. but literally, in the places where he went to deep, there is little to no ink there. the ink that is there, is merely a remnant of the tattoo. basically its like the "healing layer" of the tattoo is completely gone and im left with nothing but a scab that is disgusting and scares me. i went to see my artist. he said it was a bad reaction to the country blue, and ive heard several other stories this week of that particular ink doing the same thing to people. i just dont know what to do.
has anyone experienced this? and any tattooists out there that can offer an opinion? anything would be appreciated and yes im going to the doctor tomorrow.
