tattoo reaction

I got a red tattoo on my wrist and it was fine for a couple of weeks. Then it just started to get irritated and swollen, my skin is very sensative so I thought it was going to go away with time. But after a couple of days it got really bad, it was a huge lump, it looked like it was full of puss. I went to a tattoo shop because the guy that did it was my boyfriends friend, who I trust because he did all of my boyfriends 10 tattoos, at the shop they told me that he had scraped the shit out of my arm, they told me to wait a couple of weeks and go back that maybe they could fix it. It got so ugly I had to go to the doctor, he said It was an alergic reaction to the red ink because I have a blue tattoo and that one is fine. I had to get 2 shots and take about 12 pills a day for 3 weeks. It looks better now kida pink and my skin is hard where the tattoo is at, even though the doctor scared the shit out of me, telling me I probably had to go to a plastic surgen because it was going to leave an ugly scar. He told me it was like a 3rd degree burn. I don't think I have to get any plastic surgery, but I probably have to get it removed because the red ink is still on my skin the doctor said it might not let it heal. I really don't know what to do its alredy been more than a month I'm just hoping it will go away with time.
