Tattoo's On Your Ribcage

I finnaly got in to get the tattoo on my ribcage done... it actually runs from the base of my armpit about 5 inches wide all the way down onto my hip a little bit, its a quote, and its all in a caligriphic like writing, and i went in yesterday to get it. I went in expecing it to hurt, i knew i was going to be uncomfortable, and i knew that it is supposed to be the most painfull spot to get a tattoo. When i got in they get me all ready, and i was talking to the guy at the desk who was tattoo'd like from the neck down, and i asked him "Hey do any people ever come stoned" and he said "yeah dude everyone does" and i asked if i should get stoned before this one and he said "Especially for this one, especially for that location" so i tried, and i called my friend he was about to go on a burn runa nd while i was on the phone with him they told me they were ready to start. So i was like fuck it and went and laid down. I asked the guy how bad it was going to hurt and he said he wasnt going to lie he said it would hurt like hell. I said fuck it lets get this done with, and we started. Now im no stranger to pain, i am a farm boy. And after the first 5 seconds of that tattoo i was like FUCK WHEN ARE WE GOING TO BE DONE? i honestly wanted to stop right there and say fuck it... but i couldnt... of course i didnt say anything and i wasnt watching cause he had me all stretched out, but what felt like an hour in i asked, how far are we now? and expecting to have one or two words left, he told me that we were almost halfway... thats when i was like fuck... and needless to say i put up with another hour of pain, and that was no fun at all... the shading doesnt hurt once you feel what the outline felt like, but honestly, how i can best describe it is it feels like a red hot rusty broadhead arrow being pushed hard into your side and being dragged up and down, feeling like its going to poke into your stomach/side at any time. I knew it was going to hurt bad, but no one told me it would honestly be excruciating pain. I have no regrets with my tattoo and im really happy now that it is done, but i would tell everyone who wants a tattoo on their side to reaaaaly make sure they want it and can put up with near unbearable pain for hours with no stop. You can stop, but there still on the clock, so you just want to get it done as fast as possible. Honestly, it hurts like hell, not pain, but excruciating pain. I hope this helps anyone who is looking at getting a tattoo on their side for what to expect, cause i looked for something like that with no success, so heres my public service announcement lol... and by the way you dont get used to the pain lol... it stays excruciating...
