Hi,
I know you guys probably get a lot of these posts from 'tattoo virgins' asking meaningless questions but i am in need of some advice, regarding my first tattoo.
I have been pondering the idea for over a year now and I am settled on what I want, but i am unsure of the placement and what to expect. Basically i am getting a quote in script style writing saying "i'd rather be hated for who i'am, than loved for who i'm not". I would like this done on the top of my back in between my shoulder blades but not sure if its the best place to have a scriptss tattoo. What do you guys think? Please recommend any style of fonts that you think would make this tattoo look good and also anything that could make this tattoo better.
Also in terms of what to expect, obviously the number 1 question is pain? The pain isnt gonna put me off from getting this done but i am just unsure of what to expect. i understand that it all depends on the tolerance to pain if different people.
Just one more question, I promise, is there anything I should do on the day to prepare myself?
thanks for reading this and i hope you guys can help.

I like the idea of LA style script...just me.
Pain...I have 18 tattoos...my latest is a sleeve with over 40 hours into it...trust me, it's tolerable.
What you should do: Get a good nights sleep, eat beforehand (keep your blood sugar up), take Advil (ibuprofen) which is a pain killer but not a blood thinner. Keep hydrated too.
Also bring a shirt (or clothes) that are breathable and not conforming.
Sounds like some good advice, definitely like the sound of a good nights sleep.Lol!
I am going to my local tattoo studio on Saturday to have a consultation and get this booked up. I am not bothered about the pain, actually quite looking forward to finally finding out what it feels like, I was just asking more of what to expect as this will be my first.
Does anyone know of any good websites or books with tattoo fonts so i can take them for reference with me?
leave the font up to the artist just give him some guidelines also i think you should do it on you ribs..save your back for something bigger and better...but i think a good west coast script would be awesome...
