Havent even seen the Nikko episode :(
All I can say is WOW ! I thought had seen tattooing before but fuck me blue,Cain and Atchison are like nothing I have seen before. Now this show is about real artists.
Man how the hell did that guy sit through 2 sleeves in a little over a week! I would done it in a heart beat for that work, but would cried a lot !!!!!
Damn I missed it!!! When is the rerun for this episode? Who won or who do you think did a better job?
It's a matter of opinion as to who did the better job, but goddamn, the guy who sat there should be the next great american crime fighter!
That was of course the also legendary graffiti artist SABER
Who got the lame ass trophy?
aaron
I believe the show repeats at 1 AM. So ffar its been great, to see and hear some artists that we may never have the chance to meet. Next week is an artist I've had the privledge to be with, Tom Renshaw, against Deano Cook. Peace
I notice, the new generations are beating the vets...
I really enjoyed the episode with Mike Rubendall, and Bugs the most..
I liked how they gave a brief overview of how Mike started out in his career, and how tuff his apprenticeship was..The last few episodes the art work is really amazing, but i wasn't as interested in the tattooers..I think the personality of the tattooer is just as important as his talent..
Youtube is godsend!!

I've been watching the whole episodes available and they blew me away. So far my fav episode is guy vs. aaron, I was actually really excited throught the show and was really curious about the end product. Heartstopping (pun intended). Still nothing I'd want on me, but the execution is unbelieavable. I'm really more into Guy's though since I prefer subtlelty to bold and graphic.
The tribal episode bores me though. In general, I love the show because it shows the hardwork and dedication the artists put into their work. I mean, rubendall was more like a scholar in his meticulous research. Also, the sheer talent. I mean jeeeez, freehand! And bugs drew hanya based solely on his memory. It's very interesting to see how different artists work.
I have yet to see Nikko's episode (someone upload it on u2b!!) and I could not wait to watch the episode with Tom renshaw. FInally! Someone I'd want to get work from.
You know what would be cool? If the artists talked about the works done ON them. I'm dying to know who did Guy's work. How do you tattoo the master himself?
Btw, a question for all artists, for such subtle and intricate works as Guy's, how would they last? Would it turn into huge mess 5 years afterwards? What about Michelle Wortman's? Her color is already very soft.. couldn't imagine how it'd look years afterwards.
