tattoo writing fading/illegible

heyyy ! i have a problem! i got a tattoo going down the back of my neck. and its fading a little at the top so i know i'll have to go over it. however, i think i stretched my neck a little bit to much trying to show it off, because the lettering kinda stretched and faded at the edges. what can i do when i go over it to keep it from becoming totally illegible? i was thinking a white outline? fyi i am african american and the tattoo is in a superfine font (its called a theme for murder, if anyone wants to google it) please help ! ! ! !
