i know that the age for a tattoo is 18 but what if you cant bring a parent but you have some one who can sign whos 21 but not my parent can i still get a tattoo ??im new to this so i have no idea
for most states you will need a proof of gardianship something legal that states the person signing for you is your legal gaurdian and is responsible for you.in the united states it must be a notarised court document and no a birth certificate will not work.in some states just having say your uncle sign for you who has no actual permanent gaurdianship over you they and the artist and shop owner can be brought up on charges for child abuse endagerment ect. depending on the state city and such.so in other words the person signing for you MUST be yout LEGAL gaurdian or parent with custody rights.
