tattoo ?

Hi guys, I have been reding through your comments and responses and they seem pretty helpful, so i thought i would try my luck out... lol Anyways, I just got my 1st tattoo done 4 days ago. It came out beautifully. I have been following my artist's after care instructions carefully, and clean it out twice a day, then i apply the emu oil they gave me. But today after i applied it, it started to sting... is this normal? There is no redness around the tattoo and no discharge or anything, it just stings, and still looks a liitle dry. I also use non scented curel ultra healing lotion to accomadate for my dry skin Is this safe to use? I am just a liittle curious as to why it all of a sudden started to sting... it's a little sore but not much. Maybe is it time to stop using the oil? Please help! Thanks, Kate
