TOO HOT OT TATTOO?

Can it be too hot to tattoo? A buddy of mine was getting a tattoo last weekend it was really hot in the room and his skin would not take the ink. Is this common?

Well, I've been in hot studios, specially in south america, but as far as the skin not taking the ink...hmmm. Heat dialates pores but I don't thnk this would have a strong impact when tattooing. I would attribute this to bad needle setup or rookie artist, in which case the first scenario is related to the rookie artist. I tell you one thing though some skin types are easy to work than others.
