treatment?

i just got a tattoo of two chinese symbols a week ago, all black ink. well when i woke up that weekend, there was a pretty big bump on the tattoo, and it was red and itchy. i guess i should tell u the previous nite i accidentally put my arm in my bubble bath, and when i got out the tub it was really itching, so i thought it would be harmless if i scratched a little bit, and i did. so its now a wk later and more bumps have formed. also i have false acrylic nails. i read to let the tattoo dry out for 7-10 days i have. and the bumbs are going down but they look scabby and are peeling. is this normal for the healing process????
