trouble with white ink tat

so i know all the precautions about getting a white ink tattoo.. they fade out, they don't stick, etc. i decided to have one done anyways. the artist used a stencil but before starting he did his best to wipe off as much as possible so that it wouldn't get caught up in the white ink. needless to say, it did in some parts of the writing. i went back and he hit it a second time, which he told me from the beginning we'd have to do. i had hoped the second time through would clear out any of the dark stencil coloring but it seems that it hasn't. it's faint, but it's still darker than a few of the other letters. if he goes over it again will it help or will it just make it worse? help!! tried to take a picture but being white ink in letter on my wrist, it's really impossible to see.
