why no one likes us

no one likes tattoo artists because we are assholes. case in point, tattoo reality shows. we hate them, don't we? why do we hate them, hmmm, let's see... jealousy. that's one. we moan about, arrgghh, there's a million artists out there better than the ones that show features, arrrrggghhh. the reason? please refer to the first line of this rant. oh, we don't like drama in the shows either. because the tattoo world is serious business with no room for drama. we prefer to have our dramatic outbursts while hiding behind our keyboards bashing the very people who are bringing our art into the limelight. well, if you don't want drama in the show, and you don't want the technical aspects of tattooing revealed, what's left? ahhhh, tattoowars!! that'll rule, right? nope, we hate that too. the wrong tattoo won. i guess it should be voted on by other tattooists. that way we can further alienate the public. let me ask you, do you think midgets sit around and bash the roloff family like we do our brethren? we moan about our customers not knowing anything about tattoos and asking stupid questions, asking us to draw stuff repeatedly, etc. what other profession are you aware of has such disdain for it's clientele? grow the fuck up.

Nostrile what are you talking about??lol if you think a tattoo boards are enough feedback for judgement, then think again. I think that all you saying doesn't apply in real life. Most people I know love tattoo artists, specially collector that got done great pieces from their artists. Regarding drawing and drawing, that's part of the profession. Same deal happens with the graphic design world, if you are not up to creating different concepts to please your client, then you should change professions. Reality tv shows, they are just to entertain. Kat, Ami, Orange County Choppers, Little people big world and all that are the same shit, made up bullshit to entertain the masses. The real world is out there not on tattoo boards or tv. If someone did like the piece that won on tattoo wars, so what? people have judgement. Don't stress the world outside a screen is much better. huh? what shop have you been getting you tatoos from ? lol i dont hate my customers or treat them wrong. i usually go out of my way to make them feel comfortible because they are nervous alot of times an if they get any more nervous they probibly wouldnt even get a tattoo. so are job is kinda also to make customers feel ok. the only people we get made at are people hurting the industry by practiceing on people when they dont hardly know how to turn a machine on , an comeing to shops or on here asking questions an not really careing one way or the other, the only times ive ever offered my advice to someone learning its been takeing advantage an i was shit on an realized it was some punk kid who had a popularity problem an wanted to be a cool dude buy trying to tattoo an had no actual passion for it. an it seems thats more often then not. an ever since then fuck anyone asking questions, an if you actually do seem legit maybe you might get help. maybe not, but as far as customers go i dont no anyone thats treated a customer bad

. I agree with every bit of this original posters view. The tattoo industry has never earned respect because bashing has always been part of the game. You can get to know every artist or owner is American and sooner or later they will bash another artist, studio or customer. If not openly then by some snotty behind the back remark or uppity look.
