wrist script bad idea?

I was gonna get script on my wrist yesterday but the artist had a long day and preferred to delay it. He told me that the script I had chosen wouldnt come out looking good b/c the lines are thin and in time it would all blur together. I have never heard of this before. Is this a real concern? His suggesstion was to simply make the script a bit bigger...if its gonna bleed due to the line size would making it bigger really matter??

Ryan, the answer is yes. You can only go so small with some tattoos, i.e lettering, and with time the tattoo will begin to blur and you won't be able to make heads or tails of what was done. It is just a plain and simple fact that has remained constant and true over many many years regardless of the advances in techniques and styles. Now with that said there are a few artist that can do AMAZING minitures, such as Anil Gupta (you can check out his site if you wish). But from my own point of view I still question the longevity. ...Only my opinion though. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Depends, if you are wanting the flurishes, you would have to simplfy them or not have them at all due to the fact that it would turn into a blobbery (did I just invent a new word?) mess. Honestly, don't let the picture fool you. That is a pretty small area (the wrist) and I would almost bet that the script is not as big as what you think it is. Personally, what you see in that picture is just about the ideal size you would want to go with for that script (flourishes aside). Anything smaller and you would have to leave out thickening the lines on the letters, because of the blur factor, then it merely resemebles nothing more than writing on yourself with an ink pen.

i had one a week ago and my tattooist didnt warn me! and it has blurred REALLY bad! it says Amour and the m and o are now just big blurs andyou cant make them out! i dont know if this will chanfe once its healed but i doubt it will! x
