Look, in this world every one of us is different and have totally different opinions....some people want/need to have the option of displaying or not displaying their art. In this corporized and sterilized world ( yeah I use that phrase a lot..tough!) showing your tattoo could adversely affect your life say in a job interview...I don't like it but ya gotta deal with it...face it some people cannot ,for whatever reason be the "hey fuck ya if ya don't like it " kinda people that some of us blessed free souls can be.
Lets have a little tolerance and understanding and less name callin please....lets try to be good to each other...especially to the dumbasses...oops that slipped out!...that do not subscribe to our point of view!
Thanks for posting!!.....TAz
exactly,
many people like to keep their tattoos private, as a message to themselves. Some people simply can't show them, or they will lose a job. You shouldn't be so quick to judge.
Yeah ,,,what ducky said
In other words if they wanna pay for a tattoo that no one is ever gonna see.. take that cash boy....sounds good to me.
It is their body...their skin...and within certain boundaries ..their tattoo....Who are we to judge where they put it or whether they show it?......
I wasn't going to reply to this topic, but since you guys have continued on about tattoo visibility, I thought I would state my case. I agree with Taz. (Am I going to be hit with a lightning bolt?) I love tattoos. I received my first one at 18 from a respected artist, and my fiance is a tattoo artist. I, however, have an engineering degree and work in the corporate world. I'm not a fan of suits, but they pay my house mortgage, car loan, utilities, and other bills. (How could I attend conventions and get tattoos if I didn't make good money?) I have several tattoos, but they are covered by my clothing at work. I choose to show them when and where I want. I am planning on an upper back piece and half sleeve in the future, which means I probably will not be able to wear short sleeve shirts at work anymore. But that beats working at the mall making a quarter of the money I do now.
I do see more and more people at jobs that are able to show their tattoos (and I applaud their employers), but that is not the case for everyone. I for one am not willing to lose my job over ink.
