I always like a challenge, like when a client has several ideas that the want but the images don't necessarily share a cohesiveness. This is where the fun starts for me! Having a bite of imagination and a little knowledge of design always helps when putting ideas together, it's all about balancing the elements so that they harmonies.
When approached by this client she stated that she wanted her tattoo to have within it outer space to represent her feelings of connectedness to the universe. Also as apart of her affinity for space she felt it was only natural to include her astrological symbol. So with the task laid out I came up with the idea of incorporating her Aries symbol into a gold filigree window with a galaxy beyond that. The idea being that looking inside of her, past the Aires window, is the space she felt in touch with which is inside of her.
The peacock feather is all about beauty, grace and complexity.If you don't know anything about peacock feathers I suggest looking into information on them, their makeup is quite AMAZING! All the things that makeup the feather are in a way what space and the woman who now wears this tattoo are about, beautiful and complexity. It was real cool, each time she was tattooed she wore colors that matched her piece.
All in all this piece was alot of fun! Getting to know this client and understanding how she felt she existed within the universe and what her tattoo meant made it that much more special!
