Communication was a bit of a challenge with this tattoo.  She was visiting from Quebec, and didn't know the English word for cattail, while I didn't know the French word!  After a bit of going back and forth, we got it worked out.  It helped that she had a very clear idea of what she wanted, down to the way the frog would hang on the reed.  Once we got past the language barrier, it was smooth sailing!
