This tattoo is all about is all about changing, transition, and achieving. the elements in this tattoo expressed what the client was experiencing at that time in her life, a lot of change. While getting know her through the tattoo it was for sure that she was a positive person who's tattoo was a true reflection of how she lived.Both the butterfly and the Gladiolus are symbols that go hand in hand. The butterfly has always been symbol of transcendence and freedom. While Gladiolus symbolize strength and moral integrity. They where named for the shape of their leaves, gladioli – from the Latin word “gladius,” meaning sword. Together they where the perfect metaphor for the big changes and decisions she was about to make.  Hope that everything you where working towards has come to you Kelly!
