Leon is a bad ass from Australia. We started his sleeve at Musink 2011 with a fun portrait of Blackbeard, the infamous pirate. We decided to add a cool story and turn it into a full sleeve. We added a bit of Blackbeard's treasure on his inner arm. Some scallywag tried to steal it so Blackbeard shot him and stabbed in the back; sending him to his gloomy, aquatic demise at the bottom of the ocean. Leon wanted a mean shark and a pocket watch. Some fun additions were the octopus tentacles and the clam holding the sacred pearl. I had a blast putting this sleeve together. I tried to really create something new here. I played with varying genres/styles, color schemes, and composition. I'm very pleased with the outcome. We finished this sleeve in 8 months, one day before Leon had to fly back home. Cheers, mate.
