This clients original tattoo was done in the late 60s. It was a cover up of an even older piece and unfortunately it did not really work out. After careful consideration I felt that changing the large black mass of the old tattoo into tiger strips would be a good idea. The tiger idea was prompted by the tattoo that already exsited on his other arm which is a dragon. Since the tiger and dragon are opposing animals in Asian mythology, and how that darkest area was shaped on the need cover up, it was easy to decied on what to do to make this piece happen. Total time was fifteen hours. The next pic. is of the complete tattoo .
