This client wanted a masculine floral featuring the highly symbolic lotus blossom as the centerpiece, with some bamboo leaves and cherry blossom elements.  He chose black and grey as his palette, told me he wanted a fully-wrapped half-sleeve, and then gave me free reign over his upper arm.

I did this piece in four six hour sessions and it is as smooth as I could possibly make it.  I enjoy carefully manipulating edges so the artwork feels dimensional and unexpected from element to element.  Because of this client's willingness, I achieved a multitude of different edges and dimensions, making this piece one of my favorites.
