I was absolutely honored to do my clients bald eagle tattoo. He said he had waited many years looking for the “perfect” artist to do this exceptionally large, elaborate, sentimental and detailed large back tattoo. I am always beyond flattered when my clients have done extensive research and choose me for their permanent body artwork designs.
Animal artwork and portraiture is my true passion, and to add this realistic bald eagle tattoo to my portfolio is a true pinnacle to my portfolio that will be a stand out for years to come.
I lived in Washington state briefly and being able to see these majestic birds on a daily basis was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life. See more of my work via my website Ink Goddess Tattoos, Instagram and Facebook.
The bald eagle is a bird of prey found in North America. A sea eagle, it has two known subspecies and forms a species pair with the white-tailed eagle. Its range includes most of Canada and Alaska, all of the contiguous United States, and northern Mexico. The Bald Eagle can also have a wingspan of 5.9 – 7.5 ft. and weigh up to 14 lbs.
Bald Eagles are mainly brown with a white head and tail. You may be wondering why they're called "bald" when they obviously have white feathers on their heads. The name actually comes from an old English word — piebald — which meant “white-headed" rather than hairless.
