Daniel approached me with a unique request for transparent layers showing the different levels of anatomy on a human head. I arrived at this final result through a process of layering pigment over 3 sessions, similar to an oil paint glazing technique. And I based my concept around the mystery of consciousness--what makes us sentient? What gives us thought and senses? Religions think they know, science thinks it knows, but maybe no one truly knows.
