This was a great tattoo project to work on! My client really gave me room to play with texture depth and color to make a pretty epic image. I was a little worried on the day of the tattoo because on one page I wrote down "Aztec Ruin tattoo" and on another I wrote "Mayan Ruin Tattoo" I tried to recall our consultaiton whether he said what and went with Mayan. Lucky for me I was right! We added some roots and a jungle scene in the background and it was then that I figured out the color scheme and light source. Its a lot bigger than It looks because the guy has a pretty big arm. We have discussed repeating the theme for the rest of a Mayan Full sleeve. I cant wait to do more work on this one.
