“Haley Adams has been making their mark on the tattoo industry in unique ways over their 18 years of tattooing, from owning and running their historical queer tattoo shop in San Francisco CA “Castro Tattoo”, their interview channel on Reinventing the Tattoo “Live in the Castro” where they interview the minorities of the industry like LGBTQ+, BIPOC and women tattooers, and recently organized the first queer and ally tattoo conference “Queercation” where around 65 tattooers took advanced seminars and gained inspiration for 3 days in New Mexico!”
I have dedicated myself to tattooing since the age of 15. I started my apprenticeship at a shop based in IL, I had hopes of owning a tattoo shop in San Francisco since I was just 16 years old. I owned my first shop in NC at the age of 19, kind of by accident. I moved to AZ from NC to be a little closer to California while I continued to work on advancing in tattooing. In 2013 I moved to San Francisco and eventually took over ownership of Castro Tattoo and made it the queer-safe tattoo shop of my dreams. I have a wildly original style that includes realism and something far from; anything interesting, colorful, unique, and custom.

TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS
If you have any questions about your tattoo or the healing process, please text me, call the shop or e-mail me.
Please do:
Things to avoid:
With Tatu-Derm:
Tatu-derm is a hypo-allergenic, self-adhesive bandage. It allows your skin to breathe but protects it from the environment. Because of this, it is safe to keep Tatu-Derm on for 3-5 days, but if it is bothering you remove it and follow the regular aftercare instructions. When the tattoo feels closed—dry and less sensitive—then you should remove the bandage.
It may fill up with plasma & ink and create a black liquid trapped in the bandage, which is normal. If it starts to leak remove the bandage and continue with regular aftercare instructions.
Remove immediately if:
Remove Tatu-Derm carefully. Peel the Tatu-Derm back gently from the edge. Warm, soapy water will help break down the adhesive. It may be helpful to pull the bandage straight out to stretch and release the adhesive. After removing the bandage clean the adhesive from the area gently but thoroughly. If any sticky residue is left over it can be removed with lotion. The tattoo should be mostly healed, but some areas may still be in the initial stages. Pick up with normal aftercare. Lotion for the next two weeks and keep it clean.
