Taking a vacation IS good burnout advice. Sometimes it's the whole fix, but sometimes it's a week off from a problem that's still there when you come back.

Here's when it's the right call.

You love your work and your clients.Your book's mostly aligned, and you've been going hard for a little bit too long, no day's off, running on fumes, pretty much creatively tapped.

That's real depletion, and REST is exactly what fixes it so take that trip, come back refilled and you'll feel the difference for months. Don't skip it and don't feel guilty about it.

Here's when it's not the right call.

If what's draining you is the work itself, like a schedule full of the wrong clients, projects you dread, rates that don 't match the effort, then the burned-out-you isn't from working too much, it's from working on the wrong things too much.

A vacation fixes tired, but it's never gonna fix the wrong fit. One is when your body's needing rest and the other is your career needing a full on change.

They feel almost the same from the inside, but when your career truly needs to change, vacation is just a band aid.

So when you take that vacation, go enjoy it!

And when you get back, if it still feels like the same shit on a different day, then that's exactly what we overcome in my Candid Color Accelerator.
