I tattooed Nicolai a few years back with some handpoked…

I tattooed Nicolai a few years back with some handpoked bands on his forearm with runes with the names of his family. He contacted me recently about continuing up the arm to complete a full sleeve. At first we discussed more bands up the arm and finding a round design for the shoulder. However while I was drawing up bands and patterns Nicolai was sitting and looking at the design I did for Highland Park Whisky @highlandparkofficial several years ago and asked if we could weave a dragon into the bands. This was a perfect idea as we could incorporate the shoulder into the sleeve and down to the existing design, tying the whole piece together. I see alot of tattooists posting videos about how stupid they're clients are, but tattooing is a commission work... sometimes craft, sometimes art. We must guide them with experience, but also listen to their desires . We are the magicians who make wishes come true. Thanks to Nicolai for the trust and inspiration ❤️ #handpokedtattoo #highlandparkdragon #skinandboneunplugged #skinandbonetattoo
