Homeland Security Detains International Tattooists

TattooNOW · March 17, 2006
From Needled.com
[Needled] just got an email from Pat Fish with the subject line Homeland Security vs. Art. Turns out that when a number of foreign artists arrived at the Detroit airport for the Motor City Tattoo Expo two weeks ago, they were detained by Homeland Security, which had a list of tattoo artists who would be working the show, and because they hadn't obtained work permits they were all sent back to Japan, England, and other countries. Of course we all know that al-Qaeda sends their own tattoo artists to America to blow up infidel tattoo collectors, so I can see why Homeland Security got involved. Lesson to convention organizers: Check with local authorities on permits.
