Off The Map Tattoo

We recently put the finishing touches on a spiffy upgrade to the Off The Map website. Our third location in Italy opens March 21st and we finally had the oppotunity to make the Off The Map Tatto website cutting edge in design and functationality. Organizing a website with so many locations, artists, events and content was no easy task but we are pretty excited with the results. Over the years we have witnessed AOL, MySpace, tattoo specific websites, and hopefully soon hashtags come and go. Technology that will be around for a long time is what we specifically focus on and it is exciting to not only have entered into the mobile app realm but now the responsive design one.

The term responsive design is pretty geeky and can be difficult to envision. In short the new OffTheMapTattoo.com will change itself to adapt to the platform and screen size. That staggering amount of data we mentioned? Yep, its all reorganized for each platform, the less space the more creative our development got. Off The Map measures its success by its ability to give back. This is done in a multitude of ways such as: charities, events and free webcasts. Each November Off The Map and TattooNOW have been teaming up with collectives of studios and artists to maximize their impact. This years event was AnimalTattoosForEndangeredSpecies.com which you can see more about here. If you would like to pariticpate you can stay tuned for next years project by joining our mailing list.



There are a couple of great events being hosted at Off The Map NW this year including a watercolor class with Derek Noble and a 3 day event with Guy Aitchison and Jeff Gogue.


Off The Map NE also has some exciting events lined up for the start of 2014. On January 12th we will be webcasting and hosting a live viewing party for Jeff Gogues "Tattoo as I see it" and skyping with him after the show live at Popcorn Noir. We'll also be webcasting live music shows from now on before every other Sunday webcast from Lutheirs Co-Op starting January 26th.



Off The Map Italy will be hosting a multitude of artists and seminars. You can see more about the Off The Map Italy party in the video above.

Off The Map is incredibly fortunate for their incredibly talented resident aritsts and supportive ommunity which makes up a coalition of more than 70+ guest spots per year. TattooNOW is always inspired by the level of execution and drive of the artists they work with. Again, a massive thank you to everyone who has helped to foster the Off The Map mission.
