highlighting some of the best cover ups around

For this week's keyword highlight we'll be looking at cover up tattoos. If you are not overly familiar with cover ups there are a couple of main approaches. The first step is to distinguish between cover ups and reworks. Reworking is taking the same subject matter and improving on the existing work. Alternatively cover ups are, for the most part, larger than the existing tattoo.
An artist will be able to look at the tattoo and give their best recommendations on how to proceed. Some tattoos will require the wearer to visit a laser technician. The amount of appointments will depend on the tattoos saturation and size. Normally the artist will just need it lightened to a certain point.
Are you a tattoo artist getting a number of requests for cover ups? We have webinars from both Tommy Helm and James Kern that will help improve the way you approach these projects. You can check out a trailer of Tommy Helms webinar below.

Part of our Webinars series (click here to see more) includes two fantastic cover up classes each with their own unique approach. Most recently we worked with Tommy Helm who takes users step by step from client consultation to application in a 6 hour webinar. Last September we worked with James Kern of No Hope No fear at the Paradise Tattoo Gathering to capture his seminar: Advanced Cover-ups for Tattooists. You can get both of these webinars and more at www.tattoonow.com/webinars.
